During the events, Sharing on Wheels (SOW) provides a balance of nutritious meals, to all their patrons, such as:
Prepared foods (fresh and sealed);
• Vegetarian Chili;
• Fresh fruits & vegetables;
• Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches, Deli Sandwiches, nutrition bars; and
• Water, coffee, hot chocolate and lemonade.
S.A.G.A.’s “Sharing on Wheels” program hopes to partner with you to fulfill “wish requests.” The number of lives affected by homelessness in today’s economy increases daily, we want to change some of the effects. We would like to make their load a little lighter by providing any luggage on wheels such as carryon bags, duffle bags, book bags, and large re-useable bags that can go inside centers with them, with no further loss to them.
At each Sharing on Wheels event, we provide a variety of food for our guests. Food ranges from hot to cold. We bring warming and cooling devices to keep food and beverages tempered.
A large portion of our clothing donations come from local churches. It seems to be easier to coordinate with these types of facilities because they usually have the space to store items until they are delivered or ready to be picked up.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to keep themselves clean, so SAGA purchases basic, essential personal toiletries for each event. In an effort to satisfy this donation type, monetary donations are critical in our quest to service hundreds of adults, children, and families.
We also suggest repurposed hotel toiletry donations. If you don’t have a need to utilize the free items provided when you stay in a hotel, we suggest you donate them to SAGA. We accept unopened and unused bars of soap and shampoo for distribution to those in need.
At every event, after we have set up all items to be donated and before we give the first item away, we pray. Women praying cover their heads and the men remove head coverings. A brother from the group normally recites a Psalms.. We acknowledge that we would not be able to carry this process out without our Lord and savior, we also pray for those receiving items from this effort.
We believe this prayer process is necessary and that it blesses the event. We will continue to praise the Lord for allowing us this opportunity to carry out His will.
