Our History

FROM 1998 TO THE PRESENT

S.A.G.A. EMPOWERMENT SERVICES COALITION, NFP (SAGAesc | SAGA) began its journey April 25, 1998 with a group of 14 sisters.  At that time the organization was formed as (Sister’s Addressing God’s Agenda).  The intention and objective were to fortify & uplift its members as well as the community.

SAGAesc has come a long way and the mission has not changed too much.  SAGA is still focused on encouraging and promoting spiritual groundwork, and strengthening others along the way.  Today SAGA has nine board members and four advisory board members.  The organization was officially established as an Illinois Registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization since Nov. 30, 2006. The organization changed its acronym S.A.G.A. to “Souls Addressing God’s Agenda” in 2010.
